What is the date, time, and location of the event?
Pet Fest will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2008 at Caras Park. Caras park is located along the river in downtown Missoula, just below the
Higgins Street bridge from 11:00am until 4:00pm.
Is there a charge to the public to attend.
Pet Fest is free to attend. We ask the public to bring a donation of pet food for AniMeals to distribute.
When does the event begin and end?
11:00am until 4:00pm
Where and when was Pet Fest held last year?
Pet Fest was held Sunday, August 19th at Caras Park from 11am until 5pm. We shortened the event by one-hour this year and moved it to
Saturday for more attendance.
What is the schedule to set-up our booth and event materials?
Move-in is 8:30am until 10:30am. Move-out is 4pm until 6pm.
Can I move-in the night before?
No. Our contract with the Downtown Association on Saturday, August 16th only.
Can I leave my booth before the show is over?
No. We require all vendors to remain at the show for the entire time the public is invited. This is an absolute must for the success of the show.
Vendors who leave the show early can no longer participate in future events.
Can we have live animals at our booth?
We encourage shelters and rescues to bring animals for adoption but they must be caged or leashed at all times. Animals are not allowed to
roam free or into other booth spaces at any time.
Will there be food? Can I give away or sell food at my booth?
We will have a coffee vendor as well as other food vendors who are approved by the City of Missoula to be at animal events. Only food vendors
who are licensed by the city and are approved to prepare and serve food around animals are able to serve food. Wrapped candy or bottled water
would be a good alternative. If you are not an approved food vendor, you will be asked to remove food from your booth.
Will there be a local event contact at the actual event?
Marketplace Media will provide a staff to assist vendors and the public at all times. In case of emergency, we can be reached by cell phone
406-544-5101 or 406-544-9252. During business hours, you can reach us at our office 406-203-4200.
Where will we park and also unload our materials?
You can bring your vehicle up to your space to unload and load. However, all vehicles must be out of the park area by 10:30am. We ask that you
park in the lot east of the bridge to leave spaces close to the event for the public.
Is there a cost for parking?
Parking is free on weekends.
Will we need special passes to enter the vendor area or event?
No. The event is free to attend but we ask the public to bring a donation of food for AniMeals (some of the food will also be distributed to the
shelters and rescue organizations who participate).
Will table and chairs be provided?
One 8' table and two chairs will be provided for each deluxe booth space. Nothing is provided for spaces outside of the pavilion.
How many people do you expect at the event?
It's hard to tell how many people attended because the event is free and outdoors, but we estimate several hundred (but maybe a thousand or
more). Just take a look at the crowds in the pictures from last year!
